At work

As the oldest of six kids, I’ve had a work ethic since I was at an early age – first as a golf caddy and later in bars and clubs of Dublin. After getting my degree in Business Studies and a postgrad in computer science, I co-founded TNS Distribution in 2000 with my friend Ivan Eustace. Together, we grew it to a €100 million business employing more than 100 people and shipping CE accessories across the world to well-known high-street retailers and retailers.

I’ve a keen interest in all things Apple and I was at the forefront of the Apple accessories explosion when the iPod launched in 2001. In 2006, Ivan and I founded JIVO as a premium Apple accessories brand. It is sold worldwide and stocked by many of the world’s largest retailers including Apple stores in Europe. Ivan and I have been involved in many company acquisitions. We sold TNS to PCH in 2011 and then to CMS on behalf of PCH in 2017.

I’ve founded multiple businesses across the globe, from the USA to Europe and APAC, and worked at CEO level with some of the world’s biggest consumer electronics brands, retailers, and distributors. In 2020 I founded TAPiTAG with Ivan Eustace and our CEO Mark Gibbons. Our unique combination of NFC hardware powered by TAPiTAG cloud allows our clients to migrate their customer interactions seamlessly from analogue to digital. Our sustainable solution saves our customers money, provides a better user experience for their customers while providing great insight into their customers’ needs and habits through our analytics and reporting. The first product we launched was Digital Business card and we have recently launched our Asset Management solution. Our customer base is global, we have shipped to over 40 countries from Ireland and includes many well know corporates including Deloitte, Savills and Budweiser, marketing companies, building contractors, estate agents, restaurants, and public houses.

At play

I’m married with three children. I’m a keen marathon runner and long-distance cyclist. I take the opportunity of personal challenges to raise money for charities including cancer research, The Down Syndrome Support Centre, and the Peter McVerry Trust. I am the manager of Beech Park FC 2006 Soccer Team working with the lads for over 10 years.

I value long-term partnerships, loyalty, hard work and honesty. These values are at the core of the success I’ve enjoyed over many years in business.
